omg this is probably one of the coolest things about the death note manga that i always really appreciated and i don’t think i’ve ever gotten around to talking about it
i absolutely LOVE how light’s eyes changed throughout the series, and it was esp noticeable when he lost his memory and then regained it
but even then it was this gradual thing and it was very subtle up to that point but i thought it was ssssoooooooooo neat in showing how light lost all of his innocence and was just this shell of hateful and malevolent thoughts and intentions and you could always tell the sort of state he was in by the way his eyes were drawn and it was just really really REALLY COOL OKAY
as someone who’s extremely sensitive to facial expressions this was one of the things that made me the happiest about death note
